Terms of service
The agreement between you and Ant0 for the desktop app, the browser engine, the account and the paid plans.
Draft. This document has not yet been reviewed by counsel and the legal entity is still to be named. It shows the rules Ant0 intends to apply; the binding version will be announced before paid plans open.
1. Who we are and what this covers
These terms are an agreement between you and [Company name, jurisdiction] (“Ant0”, “we”). They
cover the Ant0 desktop application, the Ant0 Browser engine it installs, the ant0 command line and
SDKs, the Ant0 account at api.ant0.link, paid plans, and this website (together, the “Service”).
By installing the app, creating an account or paying for a plan you accept these terms. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you may bind that company, and “you” means the company.
2. What the Service does
Ant0 runs separate browser profiles on your computer, each with its own browser identity, cookies and proxy, and lets you manage them from one list and through a local API. The Service does not provide proxies, accounts on third-party websites, or content of any kind. What you do inside a browser profile is your activity on the websites you visit, under their terms, not ours.
3. Your account
You need an account (email and password, optional two-factor authentication) from version 0.2.0. You are responsible for keeping your credentials private and for everything done under your account. Tell us at once at support@ant0.link if you believe it has been compromised. One Free account per computer; each seat may be signed in on two computers.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and only in ways that comply with the Acceptable use policy, which is part of these terms. In short: no fraud, no account takeover, no access to systems or accounts you are not authorised to use, no evasion of sanctions, no harm to others. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks the policy, and we may refuse service to anyone.
5. Plans, payment and renewal
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in the currencies and by the methods shown at checkout (crypto-currencies at launch). Prices are listed on the website and may change; a change applies from your next renewal, with notice by email at least 30 days before. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades apply at the next renewal.
Yearly and monthly plans renew automatically only where a payment method allows it; crypto payments do not renew by themselves and we email you before a plan expires. Refunds follow the Refund policy.
6. When a plan ends
If a paid plan is not renewed, the account returns to the Free plan. Your profiles stay on your computer; profiles above the Free limit cannot be started until you choose which stay active or renew. Data held on our servers for the account is deleted six months after the plan ends, with warnings by email at 30, 7 and 1 days. See Account and plans.
7. Software licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Ant0 software on the number of computers your plan allows, for as long as your account is in good standing. You may not copy, sell, rent, sub-license, reverse-engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to extract the source of the software or its licence and integrity checks, or remove or bypass them, except where the law forbids this restriction. The Ant0 Browser engine is built from Chromium and ungoogled-chromium, which are under their own open-source licences; the third-party notices in the app (Settings → About → Licenses) list them.
8. Your data
Your profiles, cookies, identities and proxy credentials are stored on your computer. We hold account data and the records described in the Privacy policy, which explains what we collect, why, and for how long. We do not sell personal data.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the account service available and announce planned maintenance on the status page. The software runs locally and keeps working for existing profiles for three days when our servers cannot be reached. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice; if we discontinue the Service entirely we will give at least 90 days’ notice and refund the unused part of any paid plan.
10. Warranty and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. We do not promise that any website will treat a browser profile in a particular way, that a proxy will work, or that the Service is fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or account suspensions by third parties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account or by writing to support. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms or the Acceptable use policy, for non-payment, or where the law requires. On termination your right to use the software ends; sections 8, 10 and 12 survive.
12. General
These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction] and disputes go to its courts, unless consumer law in your country gives you other rights. If a clause is unenforceable the rest stands. We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email and on this page at least 30 days before they apply. Continued use after that date is acceptance.
